General Info

The Office of State Parks provides a range of recreational opportunities. The office caters to the needs of more than 2 million people annually. It manages various parks, historic sites and preservation areas in Louisiana. In addition, the Office of State Parks administers the Louisiana Outdoors Outreach Program, which engages children in a variety of activities to increase environmental awareness and encourage local stewardship. The program serves elementary, middle and high school students, as well as coordinates with community agencies. The office offers online reservation solutions. It also organizes events and functions. The Office of State Parks is a part of the Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism.
